Use this field to indicate the importance of this requirement.

The following four severity levels are associated with change requests:

Critical
The requirement must be satisfied for the solution to succeed. The requirement is therefore considered critical for the quality of the product or the success of the new design.
For example, if, in a manufacturing environment, a bottle lid failed leakage tests the success of the design is at risk. You would therefore raise a change request with the severity level Critical.

Major
The requirement is regarded as high-priority and should be included in the solution if possible.

Moderate
The requirement is regarded as desirable but not necessary.

Minor (cosmetic)
The requirement is regarded as the least-critical, lowest-priority, for consideration when time permits.
