General parameters >  Chapter Accounting >  Parameter MULBATCH (Multi-instance batch task)

Display all Hide all

This parameter value is used to have available one or several separate accounting tasks.

  • In the event of a single accounting task (parameter value set to 'No'), the Accounting tasks function is not available. The ACCENTRY batch task is the only one to be available and it handles the posting of all the entries of the folder to accounting, along with their matching.
To make the start of the accounting task a recurring process, a set time should be used, and not a time frame. The ACCBATCH accounting task should be the only one to be made recurring. When this task is over, starting it will launch task ACCBATCH1 that will run to the end.
To make the stop of the accounting task a recurring process, task ACCSTOP should also be used on a set time.
  • In the event of a multi-instance accounting task (parameter value set to 'Yes'), the Accounting tasks function is available.
Setting up N separate tasks implies N additional batch sessions as far as the Sage X3 license is concerned.
To make the start of the accounting tasks a recurring process, a set time should be used, and not a time frame. The ACCBATCH accounting task should be the only one to be made recurring. When this task is over, starting it will launch N ACCBATCH1 tasks (as many as there are acounting tasks) that will run to the end.
To make the stop of the accounting tasks a recurring process, task ACCSTOP should also be used on a set time.

SEEINFO It is not possible to make accounting tasks a recurring process by selecting those that will start when the multi-instance batch task parameter value is set to 'Yes'. All tasks are started and stopped using the ACCBATCH and ACCSTOP tasks.
Task ACCBATCH1 is delivered not activated so as to prevent this task from being made recurring.
