Stock period control
Use this parameter to indicate the type of control performed when a period is being closed:
Non-blocking - No control is performed for the presence of non-posted movements over the period being closed.
Blocking by FY - During the closing of the last fiscal year period, if the stock and/or WO accounting interface is active (the ACCIFA - Accounting interface (STO chapter, ACC group) parameter and/or OPEIFA - WIP Accounting interface (GPA chapter, ACC group) parameters are set to ‘Yes’), the program checks if there are any non-posted movements with a posting date included in a period of the fiscal year being closed. In this case, the closing process is not carried out.
Blocking by period - When each period is closed, whether or not it is the last period, the program checks if there are any non-posted movements with a posting date included in the fiscal year period being closed.
Level of localization/Global variable
This parameter is defined at the level Company. It belongs to Chapter STO (Inventory) and the Group ACC (Accounting Interface), The following parameters are also associated with this chapter and group :
- ACCCHGENT (Auto journal for value change)

- ACCDATSTK (Allocate adjust at inv date)

Comments
- For French companies, the value of this parameter is “Blocking by period” and cannot be modified.
- The period closing process changes the stock period status to “Prohibited” when the FRADGI - Regulation DGI NO. 13L-1-06 parameter is set to 'Yes', and when the ACCIFA - Accounting interface (STO chapter, ACC group) parameter and/or the OPEIFA - WIP accounting interface (STO chapter, ACC group) parameter are set to 'Yes'.
- Stock controls are performed when a period is closed and when the CLOPER report is launched. The following warning messages are displayed:
- “Site: Some stock movements still need to be posted".
- "Site: There is still some subcontract in process that needs to be posted"
