This document describes the minimum configuration requirements when using the SAFE X3 Studio environment to write code for a SAFE ERP X3 version 7 solution or to debug it.

Operating system |
- The SAFE X3 Studio component is an Eclipse plug-in. Any environment able to run Eclipse with a Luna SR2 version or higher can use the SAFE X3 Studio component.
- Note that Sage does validate all the different possible combinations; therefore, only the usage on Windows workstations is certified.

Computer |
- Processor Intel Pentium/Celeron/Centrino/i3/i5/i7 1.6GHz (or higher) or AMD Athlon (or equivalent) is recommended.

RAM Memory |
- 256 MB to 512 MB depending on the quantity and the size of the processes opened simultaneously and on the setup of the Java virtual machine for Eclipse.
- Eclipse requires approximately 200 MB on the workstation to be installed.
- The SAFE X3 Studio requires an additional 20 MB.
- For every workspace that stores the managed sources, a minimum of 100 MB is required.

Disk space |
- 200 MB: Eclipse.
- 20 MB: SAFE X3 Studio.
- Plan an additional space of about 100 MB for the workspace, depending on the number of projects and the number of processes used by the project.

- TCP/IP protocol installed and configured.

Internet access |
- An internet access is necessary to download updates for the SAFE X3 Studio plug-in.
