Transport lead time
In this function, define the transport lead time required to carry goods:
- From one place to another.
This can be departure, arrival or transit locations.
You can customize each lead time depending on the transport mode and, if you wish to, depending on the carrier.
This setup is used at the logistics chain level and more particularly at the Transports and Shipments management level in order to assess the planned arrival date of the goods.
- From the arrival place to the receipt site.
This setup is used at the Shipments level in particular, in order to assess the planned receipt date of order lines.
No transport mode or carrier is specified on shipment lines for the transport of goods from the arrival place to the receipt site. For the lead time to be considered, it needs to be set up without carrier and with the Not defined transport type.
By default, the calculation of the planned receipt date is performed with no transport lead time. Transport lead times set up with a carrier and/or transport mode will be ignored.
This setup supposes that you first define the places (transit area, departure and arrival places) used when carrying the goods.

In order to create a lead time, enter the departure and arrival places as well as the duration in calendar days.
You can also specify a carrier and transport mode.
Reminder : for the transport lead time between arrival place and receipt site to be considered in the calculation of the planned receipt date of order lines, the lead time needs to be defined with a Not defined transport mode and without carrier.
Once a lead time has been created, only the duration in number of days can be modified.
When a lead time is used for a transport, you cannot delete it.
