Packages
Use this setup to define the various types of packages.
Packages are used in the product-site record, in sales, in the packing process of the delivery and in the preparatory packing process of shipments or deliveries.

Screen management
Entry screen
To create a package, enter its code and features (size, volume, tare weight, etc.).

Enter the packaging identification code. |
Description (field DESAXX) |
This long description is used as a title in screens and reports. By default the short title, the long title or the column header of a data are recorded (on creation/update) in the connection language of the user.
A user who logs on with this language will view the short description, long description or column header in their connection language if a translation exists. Otherwise, these descriptions will be available in the folder language. The connection language must be defined as a default language for thefolder. |

Packaging price (field PCKPRI) |
Enter the unit price of the package. This amount is expressed in the company's management currency to which the default site is associated for the Common data management. This setup is carried out at the level of the function profile assigned to the user. It refers to the display currency, the amount being always stored in the folder's currency (the conversion is carried out, if necessary, from the average monthly exchange rate). If no site is entered at the function profile level, the amount is expressed in the folder currency. |
Label format (field LBLFMT) |
This field is used to select a label format for the print. |
Weight unit (field WEU) |
Code of the unit in which the package weight is expressed. This unit has already been defined in the Units table. |
Tare weight (field PCKWEI) |
Enter the package tare weight expressed in the volume unit specified. |

Code of the unit in which are expressed the values of the Width, Length and Height fields. |
Length (field PCKLEN) |
Length of the package expressed in the volume unit specified. |
Width (field PCKWID) |
Width of the package expressed in the volume unit specified. |
Height (field PCKHEI) |
Height of the package expressed in the volume unit specified. |
Volume unit (field VOU) |
Code of the unit in which the package volume is given. |

Volume of the package expressed in the volume unit specified. |
