Badges

Administration Page Application/Contract Syracuse/Collaboration Class badges Representation badge

A license contains a number of badges of several types that control access to functions.

A badge can be assigned to user roles. When a user connects with a given role, a badge is used and is not available to another user. This function allows you to list the existing types of badges and to assign them to user roles
.

For more information about the license file that contains the list of badges and additional rights, see the License file format document.

The list of badges is defined by a configuration file (the policy file) and cannot be changed. This means that it is not possible to add a badge code or to modify any information, except for the role assignment.

The badge description contains the following information:

Name

Identifies the badge name.

Description

Describes the badge.

Key functions

This field identifies the functions or resources that can be used by users only when they are connected with a role that listed as follows. The user connected to this role will obtain a badge either during the time of connection if the license is concurrent, or when they are assigned to this role if the license is named. If a badge is no longer available for the license, the connection with this role (if concurrent license) or the assignment of the role to the user (if named license) will no longer be possible.

Factory

This check box defines if the record is supplied as a factory record. When this happens, a factory code is also displayed and can be entered if you are a factory provider. This features allows to prevent some modifications on records supplied by defaut by Sage or by a vertical solution provider. More information about this feature is given in the following document.

Roles
