Visual process recodification tools
Classic Function | Function code | ARECOPRO |

The visual processes used in version 6 of Sage X3 are fully usable in version 7. The visual process editor remains the same, but the visual process player requires a new description of the hyperlinks that goes to functions, requests, and statistics in order to run properly.
This tool handles the metadata of the visual processes to make them version 7 compliant.
Every time a process is modified with the visual process editor, this function is automatically called to generate the links correctly. Note that the links include the name of the folder, which means that using this tool is necessary based on the following:
- After a version 6 to version 7 folder revalidation.
- Every time copies of processes are done from a folder to another using the copy tool.
Note that a recodification does not change the process description as it has been created by the process editor; it only generates additional data used by the version 7 process player. This also means that the process can be repeated several times without changing the processes.
Parameter list
When launching this function, the following parameters are required:
Folder
Identifies the folder in which the process is executed.
Start / End
Defines the range of processes that will be re-codified. Empty values means that all the processes must be managed.
Simulation
When this check box is selected, the process is run in simulation mode: only a log file is generated.
Global parameters
The supervisor parameter ACONVONLY
is used by the process recodification. It works as follows:
* If the parameter is set to Yes
, a link on an object-type function in a process is always recodified as a link on the corresponding classic page.
* If the parameter is set to No
, a link on a read-only page (query facet) is generated if the object-like function is associated with a representation.
The result of the recodification is stored in the Sage X3 database, which makes it necessary to re-launch the tool each time the ACONVONLY
parameter is modified if the modification must apply to all the existing processes.
