Browsers

This document describes the minimum configuration requirements that are needed for a smooth connection to an application in a SAFE X3 technology from an Internet browser.

Category Configuration requirements
Operating system
  • The supported client operating systems are defined by the browser. Some restrictions can apply for Microsoft Office (see below).
Hardware
  • Any hardware supporting the browsers mentioned below (workstations, tablets, and mobile phones).
  • The screen size constraints may require dedicated functions, especially for mobile.
  • For best performance experience, it is strongly recommended to use a client machine with the following minimum CPU specifications: Intel Core i5, frequency >= 2.60 Ghz, or equivalent CPU generation.
Desktop Browser supported
  • The client can be used on any modern browser with a minimum support of HTML5. Following is the compatibility matrix:

    You can use browsers supported on 10, and 11 with Microsoft Windows Server 2019, 2022, and 2025.

Mobile Browser supported
  • Following is the compatibility matrix for mobility devices:

    Safari Version 18.4 or higher (except disconnected mode) on iOS 18 or higher operating system. Compatible

    (*) Level of support:

    • Certified means "officially tested by Sage, reached all QA metrics"
    • Compatible means "Partially certified or not officially validated by Sage"
Network software
  • TCP/IP protocol installed and configured.
Office client
  • Microsoft Office 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 in Windows environments only. No Add-In available for Mac OS X.
  • Microsoft Office 2013, 2016, 2019 as part of Office 365 on-premises. No support for Office online or Max OS X.
  • Microsoft Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 in Windows environments only.
  • Microsoft Outlook 2013, 2016, 2019 as part of Office 365 on-premises. No support for Office online.
Printing support
  • Printing can either be:
    • Sent directly to a printer seen by the print server.
    • Viewed in a browser instance. You can then choose from different export formats as they are supported by Crystal Reports. For a PDF export (default), it is necessary to install Acrobat Reader V10 or higher on the workstation.
Others
  • This excludes iPad tablets.
