Sage X3 Automated Test Platform on Windows

This document describes the minimum configuration requirements when installing Sage X3 Automated Test Platform on Microsoft Windows.

Because Windows 10 is no longer supported since October 2025, we recommend you use Windows 11.
Windows 11, 64 bit (version 22H2 or higher), compatible from Sage X3 Automated Test Platform versions 3.0.0 and higher.
Jenkins server Minimum version: Windows Server 2019 64-bit
Compliant up to version: Windows Server 2025 64-bit
Disk SSD (Solid State Drive)
RAM 16 GB
Processors Sage X3 Automated Test Platform client installed on a local desktop Intel® core CPU 17, 2.4 GHZ or higher
Jenkins server Intel® CPUs:
  • Minimal models: Intel® Xeon® E5 v4, E7 v4
  • Recommended: Latest (third generation) or previous generation (second and first) Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors, Gold or Platinum variants
Web browser Chrome version 89 or higher
Required software Java 21 Runtime environment Download and install one of the following Java Runtime Environments (JRE):
Oracle Java Runtime Environment (JRE) April 2019 versions require commercial licensing to be used on production systems. This can be different for non-production or development environments. Consult Oracle's documentation to determine if you need a license.

Minimum version 21 of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is required from Jenkins version LTS 2.426.1 or later.

Jenkins will stop supporting Java 17 on March 31, 2026.
Sage X3 Automated Test Platform supports both versions 17 or 21 of Java Runtime Environment (JRE). However, because Jenkins will stop supporting Java 17, we recommend you update your Java runtime environment to Java 21 on your local machine and on your Jenkins environment.
