Product architecture
A product can be used on multiple sites. The concept of "product-site" is used to determine if the product must be managed in Sage X3 or in Sage X3 Warehousing. To use products-sites, the following data must be defined in Sage X3:
-
Site records (GESFCY), Details section:
-
The WMS responsibility check box must be selected to indicate that this site is to be managed in Sage X3 Warehousing.
-
A location must be entered in the WMS location field.
-
-
Product category records (GESITG), Details section: The product category must be set to be managed in Sage X3 Warehousing ( WMS reserved check box selected).
-

-
Units section, Units block:

The stock unit must be defined (managed by the unit or with decimals).
-
Packing units can also be defined if needed in the Packing unit table.

Matching Sage X3 stock and packing units to the Sage X3 Warehousing palletization plan
The connector supports products managed by the unit (for example, unit set to "each") and products managed with decimalized stock (for example, "kg" unit).
However, to manage products by the unit, the connector needs to identify the stock unit used. This is specified by the JAGXUC - STK unit for unit management parameter (JAGX chapter, JAGX group).
The stock unit, (each or kg) in Sage X3 corresponds to a level-5 unit (for example, CU) in Sage X3 Warehousing.
Packing units in Sage X3 correspond to level-1 to 4 containers in Sage X3 Warehousing (bag, box, pallet, etc.).
