Appendix 1: Technical details

This sections describes how the Nature of Transaction codes and Country of Origin are calculated for exports.

  • NoTCs 11 and 12 split:

    • For deliveries, if the BP is identified as a natural person, NoTC 12 is used instead of 11.

    • For transactions corresponding to other operations, the Nature of Transaction code is exported when it is stored in the EU exchange declaration - DEB table.

  • Country of Origin:

    • If there is a value for the Country of Origin in the EU exchange declaration - DEB table, the value is exported as-is. Otherwise, it defaults to the country of the delivery site.
