LENLOT

The permitted number of characters for a combined lot + sublot reference.

Context (Weighing setup): Checking lot numbers.

LISMAT

Specifies the point at which the pending materials, the materials to be weighed are loaded by the Weighing function (FUNSCA).

  • When entering function Weighing by material
  • Before each loading
The value of this parameter can impact performance.

Context (Weighing setup): Weighing preparation.

POSTOL

Do want to allow validation of a weighing where the defined tolerance percentage limits have been exceeded?

  • Yes
  • No

PRIALL

Defines the allocation priority.

  • WO priority
  • Weighing priority

Context (Weighing setup): Allocation of stock to cover component requirements.

PRTWEI

Can a partial weighing be interrupted?

  • Yes
  • No

Context (Weighing setup): Weighing management.

RECONCIL

Specifies how the manufacturing reconciliation is managed.

  • By work order
  • By phase
  • By container

Context (Commit to manufacturing): Reconciliation.

RECONOBLI

Is it mandatory to reconcile the weighing before committing the values for manufacturing?

  • Yes
  • No

Context (Commit to manufacturing): Reconciliation.

REDNEG

Should a negative stock adjustment be generated when the weighed quantity is less than the planned or allocated quantity?

  • Yes
  • No

Context (Weighing setup): Stock adjustment.

SELWGG

Display a list of suitable weighing scales?

  • Yes
  • No

Context (Weighing setup): Weighing management.

UPDSTO

Can the default stock line to be weighed be changed?

  • Yes
  • Yes with control
  • No

Context (Weighing setup): Weighing management.

USRWEI

Validate new weighing stations?

  • Yes
  • No
Set to Yes if you use your Sage X3 system within the pharmaceutical sector.

Context (Weighing setup): Configure location/booth.

WEICOMSEQC

Is the weighing sequence controlled?

  • No (default)
  • Yes
Can define at Site level.

Context (Weighing setup): Weighing management.

WEIRPTALL

The default Allocation in weighing report code. Used to print the lot details of the allocated stock.

Context (Weighing setup): Print management.

WEIRPTETI

The default report code for labels.

Context (Weighing setup): Print management.

WEIRPTOF

The default End of Work order report code. Used to print weighing details of a component on a previous work order when a work order is changed.

Context (Weighing setup): Print management.

WEIRPTOPE

The default End of operation report code. Used to print weighing details of an operation on a previous work order when a work order component is changed.

Context (Weighing setup): Print management.

WEITRSNUM

The default Material tracking plan Entry transaction.

Context (Weighing setup): Material tracking generation.

General parameters: Inventory

Parameters defined at folder level

Define the following miscellaneous parameter to identify stock items when weighing components (GPA / MIS):

LOCSUG

Entry transactions

Work orders

Open: Setup > Manufacturing > Entry transactions > Work orders | Documents

You need to set up Work orders Entry transactions (GESMFL) for the weighing functionality.

The key field is in the Weighing station block. Select the Weighing plan checkbox.

Select the Validation action to validate the change.

When the weighing plan is created using the Weighing plan function (FUNWEIGH), you can select the work order manually or load it automatically, depending on the allocation method defined in the Weighing plan Entry transaction (GESMWL).

The Weighing stations block in the Documents section is highlighted. The Weighing plan checkbox is selected.

Weighing plan

Open: Setup > Manufacturing > Entry transactions > Weighing plan

Use the Weighing plan Entry transaction function (GESMWL) to customize the Weighing plan function (FUNWEIGH) to the needs of your organization and your processes.

Your system is provided with a standard or master Weighing plan entry format. You can modify the master or create new entry definitions to suit your processes, your users, or just to make your system more convenient to use. Each entry definition affects the way in which information is entered, and what information is displayed, and printed.

You create each entry definition as a "Transaction". Each transaction you define is available for selection when the Weighing plan function loads, either from the menu or from an action in a linked function. The default entry screen displays and a choice is not offered if you do not define additional transactions to the standard or master Weighing plan entry format. You are advised, however, to get a basic understanding of how your system works before changing the master entry definition.

Miscellaneous receipts

Open: Setup > Stock > Entry transactions > Miscellaneous receipts | Stock

You need to set up Miscellaneous receipts Entry transactions (GESSRT) for the weighing functionality.

If you subdivide your lots into sublots, select the Number of sublots checkbox. This checkbox is in the Entry block.

Select the Validation action to validate the change.

The Number of sublots checkbox in the Stock section is highlighted. It is selected.

Reports

Open: Reports > Reports > Reports

Weighing uses 4 reports:

Report code Description
ALLWEIGH Allocation in weighing
CTNWEIGH Container end labels
MFGWEIGH WO end labels
PHASWEIGH Phase end labels

You need to assign a printer for each report.

The Server field is highlighted. It contains the print server path.
