Prerequisites

Authorizations

This function is object managed. The creation, modification, and deletion operations can be activated or deactivated for a given user. Filters by roles can also be associated with this function.

Other prerequisites

It is necessary to have defined the principal options linked to the folder management:

• the modules which will be used (each SAFE X3 software is divided in functional modules which may or may not be activated in a folder)
• the main management options defined by the activity codes (functionalities, localizations, specific development if needed) which correspond to the optional management of some data in the base.
• the default setups (languages used for instance)

It is also necessary to have a good idea of the quantity of information that should be managed, when the folder(s) are created in order to have an effective implementation. Indeed, the start of the creation of a folder causes the creation of a database, which physically reserves the disk space calculated from the elements entered. A change to the sizing will require the direct use of the database tools.
