Display all Hide all

Use this function to assign a shift to an employee. The shift can include automatic breaks that are created automatically when the employee stops an activity or clocks out.

You can attach multiple breaks to a shift such as 15-minute breaks, lunch, etc. Manage and create break codes on the Indirect reference page.

For example, if an employee is clocked in when an automatic break occurs for the shift, a break record is created whether the employee is currently working on a task or not.

Automatic breaks must be added chronologically.

Click Create to define a new Shift code or click the Edit icon to modify an existing Shift code.

Teams

When you assign or change a shift for a Detailed team, you need to change the code for all active team members.

A Summary team behaves like an individual employee and follows the same procedure as an individual employee for shifts.
