Use this setup to define the various types of containers.
This setup is performed at the logistics chain level. It is a prerequisite in the function of Containers used in shipments and transports.
Presentation
In order to create a container type, indicate its set of characteristics (size, maximum capacity, weight and volume etc.).
You can also link it to an image and description text.

Specify a code for the container. |

This long description is used as a title in screens and reports. Click Translation from the Actions icon in the corresponding field |

Description used in some screens or reports when there is not enough space to view the long title. By default the short title, the long title or the column header of a data are recorded (on creation/update) in the connection language of the user. Using the Translationfunction, they can be translated into another language. Click Translation from the Actions icon in the corresponding field |

Select the container type. The values suggested are the ones contained in the LM 2081. You can add any other container type to that menu. |

This is the approximative unit of measure used for the container. It helps simplify the calculation of the container volume in a vessel or terminal.
