Target criteria
The different functions involved in targeting have certain elements delivered as standard that provide coverage for the most frequent requirements of the customer relationship management.
These different functions that have elements delivered as standard are:
- Targets management
- Selection support management
- Presentation support management
- Target criteria dictionary.
The regeneration of the target criteria can be executed as many times as required. This leads to the reconstruction of the different elements included in the standard delivery in each of the functions described below.
This regeneration does not involve the specific/custom elements created by the user. These are preserved and thus it will be possible to use them.
On the other hand, the specific/custom modifications carried out on the standard delivery elements will be lost in aid of the standard version.
In the case where a X3 table contains the specific/custom fields, the regeneration includes the new fields in the standard definition of the criteria in the target of the table. These specific fields are defined by default as active.
No entry screen is associated with this function. There is direct access to the regeneration if a Yes response is given to the execution confirmation message.
In order to differentiate the standard elements from the specific elements in a live folder, for each function, there is a list of elements whose creation is taken into account in the regeneration of the target criteria.

- Type 1: Table grouping support.

Management of target criteria
It should be remembered that the table names are the object of standard alteration. The detail of alterations carried out by the regeneration can be viewed directly in the target criteria management function.

This function can be run in batch mode, but no dedicated standard task is delivered to run it.
Error messages
In addition to the generic error messages, the following messages can appear during the entry :
The error messages can be viewed in the log file displayed at the end of the generation. Once an error is found, the regeneration is abandoned. The following messages can help in the determination of the nature and the error cause:
Error while updating MAILING wizard step 3.
The regeneration also takes control of the connection between the target functions within the marketing assistants. This message is displayed if the mass mailing assistant connection could not be achieved.

The regeneration also takes control of the connection between the target functions within the marketing assistants. This message is displayed when the call campaign assistant connection could not be achieved.
Error while deleting selection fields directory.
The regeneration also takes into account the creation of certain information selection assistants. This message is displayed when the previous deletion of these elements for a new generation could not be correctly carried out.
