Data protection and privacy setup
This function is used to identify:
- The data types defined as phone numbers (Phone type) or email addresses (Email type). In case of a data breach, you can then run a search on this data to prepare your communication.
- The data types that reference the database entities which identify individuals (Reference type). Using a code, you can find them and know where they are referenced.

To define a data type, you enter a code and then choose a type and data type. Once you have selected a data type, choose the field from which to search for the code.
If you want to display the code in the search results, select the Active check box.

If several data types are linked to the same code, you can select the one you want to manage by clicking Generate.
