Throughout the software, it is possible on address input to automatically see the postal code displayed from the entry of the town or vice-versa (when several postal codes are associated with a town or vice-versa, a selection window needs to be used). This function is based on the postal code table defined herewith.
Furthermore it is possible to carry out a control based on this table, by warning the user when the town or the postal code are unknown. This control can be performed only on the default country or on all the countries.
Refer to documentation Implementation
Presentation
Entry of the postal code is carried out on a single tab. The user defines the country, zip code, city, commune code and, if the setup of the country requires, the geographical subdivision precise for the country.
None of these codes forms a unique table key.
In order to make selections easier without taking into account the format (accented characters/uppercase letters/lowercase letters), the selection window available on this field proposes a column dedicated to the search, where the names of the cities are displayed in uppercase.
