Upper bar
When a page is displayed, most of it is used by the application content. The shell providing access to function pages is a single top bar similar to the one beneath:

Functions available from the upper bar
This bar provides access to different functions:
- (1) Indicates the logged in user name including a photo if available. Clicking in this item opens a panel where you can choose the locale and language, the theme to be used and provides a logout capability - any additional functions depending of your context.
- (2) Indicates the currently uses role of the user. Clicking on this item opens a panel where you can change your role.
- (3) Indicates the currently used endpoint. Clicking on this item opens a panel where you can change your role. In addition, this item indicates the type of endpoint (please see further down this page)
- (4) Gives you access to the landing pages.
- (5) Opens the list of bookmarks.
- (6) Opens the personalization mode.
- (7) Open the Help pages.
- (8) Opens the search functions.
Types of endpoints
Within the administration of endpoints, you can choose a type of endpoint out of a predefined list:

The color representation of the chosen endpoint is available in the global header so that you always see at a glance in which type of endpoint you are.
