The BOM print function is used to list the BOM links of a given parent product on a specified level or all lower levels.

A work file is generated from the entered selections.

This print must not be requested from the Reports general function (because the content of the work file is not guaranteed).

Block number 1

Parent product from (field ITMREFDEB)

This is the list of components for which the calculation is carried out.
Parent product to (field ITMREFFIN)

BOM code type from (field ALTTYPDEB)
BOM code type to (field ALTTYPFIN)
BOM code from (field ALTDEB)

The code specifies the BOM in which the search for components is done.

Note BOMs without inquiry authorization rights for the user are not taken into account in the process. This inquiry authorization is indicated via access codes defines in the BOM profile and table.
BOM code to (field ALTFIN)
Reference date (field DATREF)

The reference date is used to select the products according to their validity start date and end date.
The entry of a date dated 00/00/00 is used to select all the products irrespective of their validity date.

Note The reference date cannot be equal to zero or be earlier than the current date.
Storage site (field STOFCY)

Entering a storage site is not mandatory. 
However, a storage site should be entered for multi-level prints, in order to determine the site for the product-site of the component whose BOM must be printed. The BOM code type (manufacturing or subcontracting) depends on the suggestion type associated to the component product-site.

  • Suggestion type = Manufactured --> BOM code type = Manufacturing
  • Suggestion type = Subcontracting --> BOM code type = Subcontracting
  • Suggestion type = Without --> BOM code type = same as the BOM code of the component BOM print
Formula (field FORMULE)

Enter, select or build an Enterprise Management filter calculation expression using the formula editor.

Multilevel print (field TRT)

This flag is used to select the elements to process.

Note The user can choose to print only the first level links, the last level links, or the multi-level BOM.

Result retrieval

The user can use the first part to specify selection criteria.

The report window is displayed after validation.

  • The net quantities are the ones displayed (the loss percentage of BOM links is never taken into account in the quantity calculation).
  • in the event of a multi-level report, the quantities are calculated from the basic quantity of the parent product

Specific Buttons

Delete

The Cancel button is used to delete the records of the temporary file created for the current session report.

On entering the function, the temporary records of the current user prior to the current date are deleted.

Error messages

In addition to the generic error messages, the following messages can appear during the entry :

"Problem on erasing the temporary file"

The transaction used to erase temporary records is cancelled.

"… records deleted"

On entering the function and activating the Delete button, this message specifies how many records have been deleted.

".. Access level insufficient"

This message specifies that the inquiry is not authorized on the BOM for the user profile.

"..At least one code must be entered"

The user has not selected any code manually and the All button has not been validated either.

"Record does not exist (product)"

The parent product for which the links should be printed does not exist in the product table

"No BOM for these selections"

The selected product is not a parent product in the specifies codes.

"The product reference must be specified"

This message appears after having checked the "Single" type if no product reference has been entered.

"The filter must be created from the previous field (contextual menu)"

This message appears if the "Selection" type has been checked and no filter has been applied to the Product table.

"Writing error on file BOMPRN"

A problem has occurred when creating the work file. Please try again.

"Record locked BOMPRN…"
