Non-financial Units
Associated with the dimensions, non-financial units are used within the framework of the analytical allocation structures of "entry" type.
It should be remembered that the allocation structures are used to perform the a posteriori allocation of expenses or revenues whose final allocation criteria are not known at the time of the transaction.
In the event of an entry type allocation, the amount to be distributed to the destination dimensions is calculated in proportion to the number of non-financial allocation units entered in each dimension.
E.g.: Distribution of the rent expenses in proportion to the number of square meters occupied by each service.
The non-financial units function is used to carry out a general update of the number of non-financial units assigned to each dimension, without however having to return to each of the concerned dimension records.
For a dimension view, each dimension corresponds to a department (administration, IT, sales etc...). A number of "square-meter" non-financial units corresponding to the number of square meters occupied by the department is assigned to each dimension.
An analytical allocation structure of "entry" type is set up to distribute the amount of the global rent expenses onto each of the departments according to the number of occupied square meters.

Screen management
Entry screen
The allocation of the number of non-financial units to the dimensions is carried out in a general tab from the entry criteria specified in the header.
The entry will make it possibe to define the non-financial units for each dimension view and/or dimension. Each new entry into the table automatically updates the dimension record concerned.
The dimensions that already have a value for the concerned non-financial unit are preloaded into the table. This display can be filtered by entering the start and end dimensions.

Error messages
In addition to the generic error messages, the following messages can appear during the entry :
Mandatory field
This field must necessarily be completed by the user.
Units XXX: record non-existent
The entered non-financial unit code does not exist in the table. Use the selection function to find an existing code.
Analytical dimensions XXX: record non-existent
The entered dimension code does not exist in the table or does not correspnd to the selected dimension view. The "Selection" function should be used to look for an existing code or the "analytical dimensions" function should be used to directly access the analytical dimension setup.
