Default Values
During the setup of a scenario, it is possible to foresee the creation of records that are not based on the reference record. For example, the creation of a product-customer record, for a customer not listed for the reference product used
In this case, the "Default values" function is used to provide default values for the fields in this table, which can be different for all scenarios or for a given scenario.
Prerequisite
Refer to documentation Implementation
Screen management
Entry screen
It is possible to define default values for the creation of records, without using reference records, for the tables:
BOM header
BOM detail
Product-customer
Product-cost
Product-Supplier
It is possible to assign the default values for all the fields in these tables, except the key fields without homonym, the text format fields and the update management fields (CREDAT, etc...).
For each field to which a default value is to be assigned, it is necessary to select the scenario concerned (if not scenario is specified, the default value is defined for all scenarios) and to enter the value to be given to the field, according to its nature.
The action is available by right click on the Default values field gives a summary of the field characteristics to which a default value will be assigned.
Alphanumeric values must be enclosed between single or double quote marks.
Numeric values are directly entered.
Dates must be enclosed within square brackets using the format [DD/MM/YYYY].
If links exist for this field, the value is checked.
If the field is a local menu, a check is made that the value entered is present in the local menu and that its corresponding title is displayed in the Meaning column.
The default value lines can be entered in any order: they are reclassified automatically by the table and field during the next use of the function.
When executing a scenario, for a single field in the table, the system searches firstly as to whether a default value "all scenarios" exists, then if a default value for the scenario in process exists.
