This function is used to define the standardized 3 character root, used to define all the fields in the database tables. This coding is based on the roots corresponding to the English descriptions. For example, the following roots exists :

Bullet point  BPC for the customer (business partner / customer)

Bullet point  AMT for an amount

Bullet point  CSH for cash

Bullet point  FRE for freight

etc.…

This coding is used to obtain a standards and to facilitate translation of the sections (in fact, a function is used in the dictionary to identify the meaning of each section based on this codification).

This coding is based on the roots corresponding to the English descriptions. In this way, the next root BPC will be found for the customer (business partner / customer). It is found notably in the field constitution :

  • BPCNUM ( BPC - business partner customer / NUM - NUMBER )
