Default dimension types
Dimension types are defined in the accounting model. Each company is associated with an accounting model.
In Sage X3 People, some functions use dimension types, but the company is not known at their level. The company can therefore not be used to display the corresponding dimension types. You must define default dimensions types that will be available for display in each of these functions.
For example, an employee can have two simultaneous contracts in two different companies, the nature of events are not specific to a company but can be shared by several companies, etc.
The functions or entities concerned are: employee, department, profile, user, event, nature of activity, etc. This list is defined in the local menu 2230 - Entities.
All the dimension types in the folder can be default dimension types.
