Prerequisites
Activity codes
The following activity codes (sorted by type) can have an impact on the way the function operates:
General parameters
The following general parameters might change the way the function is working:
Manufacturing
- CLEMTSNUM (defined at level Company) : Complete/close tracking TRS
- CTLALL (defined at level Company) : Control component allocations
Transactions
The Production plan entry transaction is only used to specify if labels are printed automatically after the production plan is generated. The Production plan entry transaction is not used to control field entry and display.
The system suggests the first entry transaction available.
Print-outs
Label printing can be launched automatically after the production plan is generated, if the following are defined:
- The Production plan entry transaction authorizes label prints: The field Printing on the Stock tab is set to Labels.
- The product record authorizes label prints: The field STK label format on the Units of measure tab is set to a report code that prints a US label format.
- A destination printer has been specified. Multiple definition levels can be defined for the destination printer, for different output qualities.
- A destination printer is defined in the Define the destination function (VXASP).
- A destination printer is defined on the User record in the Default destination block on the General tab.
- A destination is specified at the dictionary level of the report.
- The report code, which can be customized by the user, is specified in the Destinations by user setup function (GESAIA).
