The import tool allows you to import data in the administration repository and create a journal of the modifications that can be displayed with the Import session management.

This page can only be called with a working copy (no query or detail facet). Launching the page will allow you to enter parameters and to start the import task.

The format accepted for the import is the format used by the export tool.

Parameters

The information to be entered is the following:

Source

The source file to be imported can be located on the administration server (where the node.js runs), in a directory called import. You can also enter the name of the source file in this field.

File name

The file name has to be entered if the selected source is Server file.

Content

The JSON file must be entered if the selected source is Direct input.

Create import session

If this check box is selected, an import session is created to provide a detailed log of the operation and to undo the modifications if necessary.

Endpoint

The endpoint where the import should be done must be entered (normally Syracuse administration) in this field.

Import link

This link starts the import operation, which is done in the background. Warnings and errors, as well as the number of instances created for every entity are displayed. A journal is created if the import session check box is selected.
