This page is used to trigger an index update on a given endpoint with an optional filter on the managed entities.
Parameters available | Action links |
1. Parameters available
This page allows the trigger index updates on an endpoint for entities. The following information must be entered:
Endpoint
Defines the source of data to be indexed. The endpoint can be either the administration endpoint or an endpoint defined by a Sage X3 folder.
Entities
Defines a list of entities that will be read for the index update. If no element is given on the list, all entities that have been defined as Searchable will be considered.
Locales
Indicate the different languages in which the index is updated. The locale of the current user is the default value.
Update modified records only
If this check box is selected, only the data modified since the last index update will be read. Note that the deleted record will not be deleted in the index. An index delete followed by an index rebuild must be done.
Delete index before update
If this check box is selected, the update index operation will delete the endpoint index. This is important when a complete reconstruction of the index must be planned.
2. Action links
The different links available are:
Index update
This triggers an index update. When initiated, the indexing is done in the background. You can leave the function and let the indexing run. The indexing will be partial or complete depending on the Update modified records only check box selection.
Delete index
This triggers a complete deletion of the index for the endpoint index. No filtering per class is done.
Delete functions index
This triggers the deletion of the function index. An indexation on the administration endpoint will be necessary to rebuild this index.
Schedule index update
This link opens a popup window that lists the existing Automations. The task defined by the index update request can be attached to one or more automations to be executed in batch with the right schedule.
