Use this function to assign Employee IDs to identify labor employees and to create Summary and Detailed teams. Employee IDs for employees or teams are used in tracking work orders.

An ID number can be linked to a Sage X3 user. In that case, during the production tracking, the operator's ID number is submitted by default in the corresponding area.

Click Detail from the Action icon menu at the beginning of the row to view and edit employee data.

Click Create to add a new employee and assign an ID or click the Edit icon to change details for an existing employee.

Creating teams

You can assign an Employee ID to a Summary team or a Detailed team. Teams can be assigned shifts and have default Sites, Work center groups, or Work centers. You can also enable Elapsed labor for a team.

A Summary team requires you to indicate the number of employees on the team, but you do not identify individual team members. A Summary team behaves like an individual employee except that Total duration is multiplied by the number of employees on the team. See Employee activity for more information.

The number of members on a Summary team can also be changed from the Adjust team action in the SFT Workbench. Updating the number of employees for an existing team does not affect unposted or in-progress activities.

A Detailed team does not show the number of employees, and specific employees are added or removed from a team in the Teams function (GESTEM).

Detailed team members must be active and share the same Site and Shift codes as the Detailed team profile. Changes made to the Detailed team profile, like Site and Elapsed labor, also change for team members.
