This function is used to update the calculated costs (Standard costs, Revised standard cost, Budget cost, Simulated cost).
This function carries the update of all the calculations in the queue by selected cost type.
The cost calculations are considered as pending update only when they have been calculated with the selection "Differed update ".
Only the costs that have been calculated by the connected user are updated.
When the update concerns costs of the type Standard or Revised Standard, an accounting automatic document is created is created according to the required setups.
A log file can be printed at the end of the process.
If the product valuation method is actualized standard cost, then the value change movement of the stock can be created. The default section code, STJVALAUT, is used to fill this movement sections. If the modification of the cost is anticipated (creation of a cost for the next year, for instance) whilst the system fills the STKMVTITC table which is then dealt with by the FUNSMI batch task.

This function can be run in batch mode. The standard task CALCSTUPD is provided for that purpose.
In addition to the generic error messages, the following messages can appear during the entry :
This message appears after a blocking problem (write error ...). There will be no update of the table ITMCOST and the costs of the type indicated will remain in the ITMCOSTW table.
This message appears if a standard or budget cost is updated when this cost exists already.
This message appears if a revised or simulated cost calculation is updated when the corresponding standard cost did not exist and there has been a write problem for this standard cost (that is normally created automatically). It will then be necessary to manually create a standard cost to be able to view the other types of costs using "cost management" function.
