Production Scheduler is a planning tool used to view the scheduling of work orders in the form of a Gantt chart. Elements are sorted by production order, by work center and by workload.
Used in a short-term context, the Production Scheduler function sets up a schedule to implement and distribute workload. It is particularly useful for adjusting unexpected production or supply events.
Used in a medium or long-term context, the Production Scheduler function can simulate workload in order to analyze what a facility is capable of producing within a given objective.
Production Scheduler provides you with two types of plans, a 'work plan' and a 'published plan':
You can use the Production Scheduler viewer function to view the scheduling (for inquiring into elements of the plan and for browsing through time). Note that you can only use this function to view the scheduling, you cannot use it to reorder elements within it.
Production Scheduler is only available for on-premises instances of Sage X3.

The planner can apply modifications to a schedule to manually redistribute the suggested machine, labor or subcontracted workload. To 'fix' or 'pin' a modified operation click one of the following action (Actions > Pin operations), this will ensure the Optimization process uses the manually forced date/time:
To unpin the operation and revert to the original scheduled date/time click the Unpin action (Actions > Pin operations) then clear the Fixed start date (Indicators & Details > Operation > Operation fixed dates) check box.
