Use this function to determine the production cost price (PCP) for a work order. You can also use it to obtain the variance between the actual cost and the standard cost (cost based on the data in the BOM), or the cost based on the work order data.
SEEINFO The work order must be closed if this function is not being run in simulation mode.

The PCP calculation can be carried out on a single work order, or if an expression filter has been defined in the Work order header (MFGHEAD) and WIP valuation header (MFGWIP) tables, mutiple work orders.

The PCP calculation is based on the WIPCOST table from the production tracking. It can create the standard cost variance records, the adjustment and the WIP balance.

You can request a printout at the end of the calculation.

Inquiries are available to view the cost price history for a product and to compare the PCP with respect to other cost types for the defined site or a different site.

Screen management

The WIP finalization function displays an initial screen into which you enter your selection (or filtering) criteria.

Fields

The following fields are present on this tab :

Selection

  • Simulation (field SIMFLG)
  • Cost calculation (field PRF1)

When this box is checked, the Work Orders whose PC was never calculated are/can be selected.

  • Cost update (field PRF2)

Click this check box to update the product costs for the selected work order.

This field is only available in update mode, that is the Simulation check box is clear.

You can recalculate and update the product costs as required, for example, after a subcontract invoice has been posted against a work order with subcontract operations.

Production site This is initialized by default with the normal production site for the user.

  • Order no. (field VCRNUM)

This field is used to enter or select via tunnel a Work Order.

Report

  • Printing (field PRNCOD)

The printing options for the production cost are the following:

  • No: no print-out is proposed upon calculation of the production cost,
  • Detail: a detailed print-out of the production cost is proposed at the end of the calculation,
  • Summary: a print-out summing up the calculations will be proposed.
  • Exp. prorata to comp. (field FLXBUD)

The flexible budget flag is used to correct the calculation database planned with respect to the Planned/Actual ratio.

  • Variance source (field ORIDEVCLC)

This field is used to specify the calculation basis for the planned production cost:

  • Standard data: specifies that the planned PCP will be determined using a standard basis (data of the routing and the BOM),
SEEWARNING The type of route and the BOM must be cost.
  • WO data: this option is used to indicate that the planned production cost will be based on the Work Order data.
  • Print expected cost (field PRVCSTPRT)

  • Print of non-achieved planned (field EDIPRV)
