The fact table Fixed assets is part of the Datamart FIXASSET (Fixed assets) as a whole.
It contains elements coming from:

  • fixed assets
  • depreciation plans
  • subsidies
  • physical elements
  • expenses.

These data are reorganized in order to allow a simple elaboration of the reports in the BI:

- some information deemed secondary is not transmitted,
- conversely, other information is precalculated,
- finally, the information is restructured if needed.

Activity codes

The volume of information displayed in the environment using the Infoview tool is quite substantial.
It is possible to hide useless information by setting to 'No'' the activity codes globally assigned to the dimensions concerned, or the activity codes only assigned to the given fields of the fact table or of the various dimensions.
The following activity codes are suggested:

  • BIF1 - Insurance
  • BIF2 - Vehicule
  • BIF3 - Market value
  • BIF4 - Impairment loss
  • BIF5 - Book vs. Tax provision
  • BIF6 - Revaluation
  • BIF7 - Exceptional depreciation
  • BIF8 - Fiscal reintegration
  • BIF9 - VAT
  • BIF10 - Budget
  • BIF11 - Deferred

SEEINFO In case the value of one or multiple activity codes is modified, the environment must be regenerated.

To this fact table are linked:

Synchronization rules

These are the rules used to define the way the data are extracted from the database and the way the fact table is loaded. There are 3 for the Fixed assetsfact table:

  • EXPENSES: Fixed assets expenses with LAYOUTFAS as source table (expenses)
  • DEPRECEXE: Financial year depreciations with DEPREC as origin table (depreciation plans)

Update 8.0.0 and higher: 

  • PHYELT: Physical elements with PHYELT as source table (physical elements)

The table fields can be loaded directly via a base field or their value determined via a calculation formula or the call result to a function.

Dimensions

These are database tables such as the country tables, sites, accounting codes.
Some dimensions are part of the Fixed assets module and others are common to all the modules (Company, Site, Analytical dimension types etc.) and can be linked to multiple fact tables. Links have been defined between these various dimensions.
When a field in a fact table is linked to a dimension, the corresponding link expression is defined in the fact table (Links tab). The dimension list linked to the fact table Fixed assets is given below.

From the Hierarchies

These are pre-defined grouping criteria, used to navigate in the report according to the required detail level, by grouping or zooming on the detail of the hierarchy criteria.
These hierarchies are defined for the Datamart. They are detailed below.

Predefined conditions

These are conditions that will be used as filter criteria in the report itself. They are defined for each fact tables.
It can either be, simple conditions using fields or constants, or conditions requiring values (conditions corresponding to queries to be entered in the reports).
Their list is given below.

Sub-classes

In the fact table, each field with the object type: Measure can be identified as belonging to a sub-class. Thanks to the BO Infoview tool, this classification is used to display this information grouped by sub-class in the Fixed assets environment.
