This function is used to perform a mass key change.

It is possible to enter or load the grid by selecting records for a given object.

Principle

For each line in the grid, the key change is equivalent to the manual key change carried out by the user.

The key change consists in changing the code in all the records contained in the database.

The link between the modified code and the other tables containing this code is defined in the table dictionary.

Entry screen

Loads into the grid all the records on:

  • Object
  • selection on the fields of the object

Batch task

This function can be run in batch mode. The standard task ACHANGE is provided for that purpose.

Specific Buttons

Memo

is used to save the setup values entered, by giving a name to the memo. Remembering that the memo STD, if it exists, is automatically recalled when a print is launched.

Recall

makes it possible to recall a memo by giving its code.

Delete Memo

Allows the deletion of an existing memo.

Deferred

Used to launch the key change in deferred mode.

Error messages

The only error messages are the generic ones.

Important remark

This utility is used to process application table keys on a single folder. Thus it is advised not to use it to rename keys existing in Supervisor tables or tables of type System.
