Tab Available stock
Two sets of information are displayed in this section:
- The current stock when launching the inquiry (not considering the entered reference date). Information related to the current stock is split into two blocks:
- Current stock: includes the physical stock, stock pending putaway, stock on loan and subcontractor stock.
- Detail stock situation: stock per status (or situation).
- The Available stock on the entered reference date. The available stock is displayed according to the periodicity and entered selection criteria. Requirements are displayed in red (they include SOF firm customer orders and MWP planned material requirements). Resources are displayed in black (they include POF firm purchase orders and WOF work orders). Positive and negative signs are not displayed.
- The Available stock does not include future requirements to come.
- The Stock available to promise corresponds to the smallest stock quantity available for the relevant period. You can use these results to determine if you can make a commitment to a customer for a specific period. When a product has an expiration date, you can choose to consider the expiration date and the use-by date (UBD) to determine the stock available to promise by clicking Criteria in the action panel.
- The Coverage displays the number of periods before the stock runs out.

You can control the starting stock levels by defining which stock is to be considered in the projected stock calculations. For example, you can exclude detailed allocations from the starting stock. Conversely, you can add stock in quality control and in transit to the starting stock. You can also control the calculations by defining if product-site loss percentages and sales forecasts should be included. Expiration considered
If Expiration considered is set to 'Yes': You can save one or several sets of criteria by saving Memo codes. Selection
