This function is used to define currency rates and to inquire the history of rates in the form of a graph or table. A currency rate is defined:

  • for a given currency,
  • for a given rate type,
  • at a given date.

A direct rate can thus be associated with each given destination currency (the inverse rate being displayed).

Screen management

In the screen, the 3 start data (source currency, rate type and rate date) are entered.

All currencies for which a rate has been defined at this date or at a later date are then displayed. In addition, these rates can be modified (the application date being displayed).

It is possible to:

  • modify a rate for an already entered currency (the rate date corresponding to the modified rate remains unchanged)
  • enter a new line in the table, included lines with an existing currency, in order to enter a new rate at a new date.

Entry screen

Currency rates are entered as lines which are identified by the rate of the destination currency and the date.

The system checks that, for a given currency there are not two rates for the same date.

Tab Archived

This tab displays in a "table" and "graph" the selected currency rates.
COURDEV_01.png This button is used to switch from graph mode to table mode.
In graph mode, dates are displayed in the abscissa and the currency rates are in the ordinate.
The wheel makes it possible for the user to choose the curve type.
Besides, the user can choose whether to display all curves or to hide some (using the expandable menu bar in the top-right corner of the table).
