An internal container is a logistics unit managed in the receipt flow, internal movements and issues. An internal container can be a pallet a barrel, etc.
You can create identifiers called 'License plate numbers' for these internal containers in two ways:
  • By unit using the License plate number management function,
  • By batch, for a given site, using this function.

The creation of license plate numbers is based on the presetting done in the Container function, which provides the reference of the sequence number counter to be used.


Once the license plate numbers have been created, you can view them in the License plate number function, regardless of the creation method used (by unit or batch).

Screen management

Entry screen

Enter:

  • The site (by default, this is the storage site linked to your function profile),
  • The container,
  • The number of license plate numbers you want to create.

You can also enter a location (optional) and the characteristics associated with the license plate number: single lot, singlet product.
The creation operation generates a log file listing all the license plate numbers that have been created. The numbers are assigned the status 'Free' by default.

Stock site (field STOFCY)

Enter the storage site. It is initialized by default by the site associated with your function profile.
Container (field TCTRNUM)

Select the container you wish to use.
Only an internal container (License plate number) can be selected.
Container type (field TCTRTYP)

This field cannot be entered. It displays the container type of the selected container.

License plate seq. no. (field LPNREFCOU)

This field cannot be entered. It displays the reference of the sequence number counter linked to the entered internal container (License plate number).
Active (field ENAFLG)

By default, this check box is selected. It indicates that the license plate numbers created can be used in logistics flows.
Clear this check box to disable the license plate numbers.

Single-product (field MONITMFLG)

Select this check box to indicate that the container must be single-product managed.
By default, this setup is based on the setup of the selected container.
Single-lot (field MONLOTFLG)

Select this check box to indicate that the container must be single-lot managed.
By default, this setup is based on the setup of the selected container.
Location (field LOC)

Select the container storage location. This location is optional.
Number (field NBRLPN)

Enter the number of license plate numbers you want to create.
Printing (field PRTFLG)

Select this check box to print the license plate number labels once their creation is done.
You need to indicate the format of the labels and the destination printer.

You can also choose to print the label later using the Container label printing function.

Label format (field LBEFMT)

If you select the Printing check box, indicate the format of the labels to be printed. The format is based on the format defined in the Container setup.
Destination (field PRT)

If you select the Printing check box, indicate the destination printer. The default printer can be defined at two levels:

  • The more detailed level set up in the Destinations by user function. It makes it possible to customize the destination for each report by user.
  • It is also possible to specify their destination in the reports.
  • The destination defined in the User record is used by default.

The only error messages are the generic ones.
