This parameter identifies a Sage X3 user as approved to make key changes to operations in a version-managed routing for a work order for a versioned product (BOM).

'Yes' - This user is approved to make the following changes to a work order:

 Each of these changes are an integral part of the manufacturing process. As each of these changes must be tightly controlled they are considered to be 'critical changes' within the context of amendments to work orders.

  • Addition of an operation using the Additional operation not expected action (from the Actions icon);
  • Excluding (or cancelling) an operation, or reinstating a (cancelled) operation using the Exclude line or Reactivate actions respectively (from the Actions icon);
  • Changing the production resource that is to be used for an operation (fields Work center or Number of resources);
  • Changing the planned quantity for an operation (field Planned quantity);
  • Changing machinery running costs (fields Setup time, Unit time or Run time);
  • Changing labor costs (fields Labor wk C, No. lab res. or ).

'No' (default) - This user is not authorized to make key changes to operations in a version-managed routing on a work order for a versioned BOM.

Level of localization/Global variable

This parameter is defined at the level User. It belongs to Chapter GPA (Manufacturing) and the Group ECC (Version management), The following parameters are also associated with this chapter and group :

  • ECCBOMCOM (BOM component critical changes)
  • ECCWOCOM (WO component critical changes)

No global variable is associated with it.

Comments

  • Parameter MFGREV - Revision management (chapter GPA, group WOM) can be set to track (audit) key changes to work orders for versioned products. With parameter MFGREV set to 'Yes', traceability of each key change is provided.
     Parameter MFGREV (Revision management)

  • This parameter only applies to a work order that meets the following criteria:
    • The product (BOM) is versioned;
    • The defined routing is versioned;
    • The Work order management mode for the defined routing (field WORTYP) is set to 'Operation change' or 'Change materials and operations'.

  • Activity code ECC must be activated to use the Version management functionality.
