This function is used to copy one or more routings attached to an originating alternative to a replacement alternative.

Fields

The following fields are present on this tab :

Selection

This is the source routing code of the copy.

SEEINFO The source routing must have the sametype (distribution, manufacturing or sub-contracting) as the code selected as destination.

This field is used to carry out the process on the assigned site.

If no site is chosen, the routings are assigned by default to the origin site.

This is the routing code on which the source routing is to be copied.

  • If the destination code is assigned to a site, the routings created are assigned to the same site.
  • If the destination code is multi-site, the user selects from a list of proposed sites the one that they wish to assign the new routings.

SEEINFO The destination routing must have the sametype.

This field is used to carry out the process on the assigned site.

  • Generate macro routes (field FRCCP)

  • Box checked: generation of a route macro. Only the operations whose work center has RCCP field validated to "Yes" are copied.
  • Box not checked: copy of the route.

Start - end range

This is the list of components for which the calculation is carried out.

Enter the selection end product number.

Enter, select or build an Sage X3 filter calculation expression using the formula editor.

 An error message is displayed if you refer to tables which are not generally used by the configurator, or to unknown variables.

Batch task

This function can be run in batch mode, but no dedicated standard task is delivered to run it.

Error messages

In addition to the generic error messages, the following messages can appear during the entry :

Messages being entered

"Read error. The search has been abandoned"

Upon entry control on the fields source and destination code, the code could not be found.

Messages upon entry control on the destination code

"No modification authorization for this code"

As a function of the user code, verify if the user has the authorization to modify the destination routing code.

"Source and destination routing incompatible usage"

Use = production, cost, RCCP. The destination code must have as a minimum the usage characteristics of the source code.

Error messages are linked to the routing entry control

"Record does not exist"

The routing entered does not exist.

"Destination routing already exists"

In the case of a single routing to be copied, this message tells the user that is has already been copied

Messages of the log file

"Work center does not exist in the source site: copy impossible"

It appears if one of the principal work centers required for a source routing operation does not exist in the source site.

"Certain work centers do not exist in the production site: copy impossible"

An attempt has been made to copy a routing for a destination site that does not possess the work center required to carryout a routing operation.

It can be a principal work center, a labor work center, a sub-contract work center.

"A standard operation does not exist in the production site: copy impossible"

An attempt has been made to copy a routing for a destination site where one of the operations is associated with a standard operations and that the standard operation does not exist in the new site.

"Read error. The search has been abandoned."

The scheduling of a source routing operation could not be found.
