Production Scheduler

This activity code activates the Production Scheduler functionality. It is also used with the generic Finite scheduler interface.

• If you are using the Production Scheduler functionality, select the Active check box.
• To activate and use the Finite scheduler interface, leave the Active check box clear and activate the GFS - Finite scheduler activity code.

Production Scheduler is a planning tool used to view the scheduling of work orders in the form of a Gantt chart. It can optimize production cycles and control lead times. It provides flexible graphical production planning and scheduling capabilities.

Finite scheduler is a generic interface that provides an integration connector, developed by Sage, to connect to Sage X3 Web Scheduling or to any web scheduling solution developed by an ISV (independent software vendor) for either cloud or on-premises solutions.

A web scheduling solution (or Production Scheduler) is particularly useful for adjusting unexpected production or supply events.
