The Sage X3 user code to be assigned as the default QA (Quality assurance) manager when an incidence of non-conformance is raised. 

This user must be approved for involvement in your Non-conformance management process as a 'QA manager'.

This user code can be overwritten with an alternative user code when an incidence of non-conformance is raised or amended.

Level of localization/Global variable

This parameter is defined at the level Site. It belongs to Chapter TC (Common Data) and the Group NCS (Non-conformance), The following parameters are also associated with this chapter and group :

Its values are defined by the function Users.

Note:

 This parameter can optionally be defined at both Folder (chapter TC, group NCS) level and Site (chapter TC, group NCS) level.

Note:

 The Sage X3 user code assigned to this parameter at Site level takes precedence over the user code assigned at Folder

Example

Folder level, NCSQADEF=User code 'QAM1'
Site NA01 (Site level), NCSQADEF=User code 'QAM2'.
A new non-conformance raised for site NA01: 'QAM2' is assigned as the default QA manager;
A new non-conformance raised for all sites excluding site NA01: 'QAM1' is assigned as the default QA manager.

 The same Sage X3 user code can be assigned at both Folder level and Site

The Sage X3 user code you assign to this parameter and any alternative user code assigned to an incidence of non-conformance as a QA manager must have their user parameter NCSQAMAN - QA manager (chapter TC, group NCS) set to 'Yes'. This confirms they are approved for involvement in your Non-conformance management process as a QA manager.
