The purpose of this function is the display on the screen of the Empty, Occupied and Full locations.

Screen management

The selections of locations to be displayed are entered in the header and the selection result can be found in the grid of the "Locations" tab.

Header

The header information is used to specify the main selection criteria for the inquiry used.

Block number 1

Site (field STOFCY)

Location type (field LOCTYPSEL)

This is the reference of the location type to be selected for the inquiry.

  • It is possible to choose a type of location at a site or a group of locations comprising a string of identical "*characters*".
     
    Example : The search on location types containing the character string "*A*" will return the group of locations where the type contains the "A" character.
     
  • The search of the locations where the location type ends with a character string is written as follows : "*character string".
     
    Example : "*A5" returns all the locations where the location type ends with "A5".
     
  • The search of the locations where the location type starts with a character string is written as follows : "character string*".
     
    Example : "A5*" returns all the locations where the location type starts with "A5".
     
  • If no location type is specified (character *), the inquiry generates the location report for all the locations at the site.
Location (field LOCSEL)

Description of the location to be viewed. If no location has been selected, the inquiry displays a list of locations corresponding to the other criteria requested. The field is initialized with the wildcard character *.

  • It is possible to choose a location or a group of locations for a site containing an identical character string "*character*".
     
    Example : the search for locations containing the character string "*A5*" will return all the locations that contain the character "A5".
     
  • The search for the locations ending with a character string is written in the following fashion: "*character string".
     
    Example : "*A5" returns all the locations ending with "A5".
     
  • The search for the locations starting with a character string is written in the following fashion: "character string*".
     
    Example : "A5*" returns all the locations starting with "A5".
Warehouse (field WRHSEL)

The presence of this box is subject to the activity code WRH.
This concerns the reference of the warehouse to inquire.
It is possible to choose a location or a group of locations for a site containing an identical character string "*character*". The syntax to be used is identical to the one specified for locations.

  • If no warehouse is specified, the inquiry will concern locations meeting the criteria requested.
     
  • If one or more warehouse is entered, the inquiry will only concern the locations assigned to this (or these) warehouse(s) and that meet the criteria requested.

Location statistics

Take the empty locations into account.
field OCPFLG2

Take the occupied locations into account.
A location is occupied if it contains at least one quantity.
field OCPFLG3

Take the full locations into account.
A location is full if it is managed in filling, and its maximum quantity has been reached.

The columns present in this table depend on the setup of the chosen screen code.

The inquiry generates for each selected location, one line per stock line present in the location. If a product is managed in serial number, the inquiry generates one line per serial number present in a given location, unless the Serial number aggregation is activated via the [Criteria] button.

Detailed Allocated

This button is used to view the allocations present for the product for the selected line.

Criteria

This button is used to access the additional selection criteria with respect to the criteria entered in the inquiry header.

It is possible to filter the locations to be presented according to the location characteristics (internal, pending put away, customer, sub-contractor, single-product, dedicated, reorder, managed location), according to the block status of the location or according to the location stock count report.

Finally, the Aggregation / Serial no. parameter is used to present the serial numbers of a product as aggregated in the location in order to reduce the number of lines present in the inquiry.  

Screen code: the inquiries can be set up in a general manner (for more detail, see the Inquiry screens documentation). It is possible to call upon customized inquiry screens via the screen code. This customization is used notably, to choose what information should be shown on the screen and in what order it should be positioned in the grid.

It is possible to save one or more sets of criteria by saving the codes.   that can be subsequently recalled   or deleted . 

Error messages

The only error messages are the generic ones.
