Screen management
Each record corresponds to a personalized entry screen. Use the grid to determine the fields to display in this screen. These fields can be an employee field or a formula.
In the grid, in the Fieldcolumn, enter or click the Selection icon and select an employee field.
Characteristics of the fields:
- Entered: the field will be available for entry in the screen generated via the Customized entry function, except for formulas.
- Displayed: the field will be displayed (but will not be available for entry) in the screen generated via the Customized entry function.
- Hidden: the field will not be displayed in the screen generated via the Customized entry function.
Entry screen
Block number 1
Code (field COD) |
Indicate the code of the employee screen being searched or to be created. This code identifies the screen in a unique way. |
Legislation (field LEG) |
In multi-legislated folders (where the LEG activity code is active), the Legislation fields are displayed.
If a legislation is entered in the record header, other fields entered must follow any rules applicable to the legislation. If a legislation is not entered in the record header, it might be deduced from another element (such as the company, site, or employee) and again, other fields entered must follow any rules applicable to the legislation. If a multi-legislation group of companies is selected, other fields entered must follow any rules applicable to the legislation of at least one company in the group. Example If you select a group of British (BRI) and French (FRA) legislation companies, you cannot enter a value in a field that is only applicable to the South African (ZAF) legislation. In single legislation folders (where the LEG activity code is not active), the Legislation fields are not displayed. |
Description (field DES) |
Indicate the title associated with the employee screen. It must be as explicit as possible. |
Access code (field CODACS) |
Assign an access code to this record, so that its access can be controlled upon inquiry or modification. |
Activity code (field CODACT) |
Assign an activity code to this record. If the activity code assigned is inactive, the record is not available. |
Active (field ENAFLG) |
Employee fields only (field FLGMAT) |
Use this check box to display the employee screen without the contract area, in the customized entry. This is possible if the employee screen is set up with fields from the following tables only: EMPLOID, EMPLOAD, EMPLOCPT, EMPLOTRY, EMPLOHAB, EMPLOELC, EMPLOEXM, EMPLOEXN, EMPLOPAR, EMPLORIB. |
Grid Columns
Field (field FLD) |
In the Field column, indicate the title of the employee field that you want to use in your personalized screen. You can also set up a formula as a field (for example, Surname + Name). In that case, enter FORMULA in the Field column, then enter the formula in the Formula column. The result of a field or a formula (in other words, of a column) can be reused in another formula. To do so, enter F0 in the expression to be calculated followed by the number of the line that contains the field or the formula. For example:
On line 4, the formula will calculate an expression in the form of: string$(F02<F03,"A")+string$(F02>=F03 & F02<2*F03,"B"). This formula edits the category (A or B) which the employee belongs to (category A if the employee's salary does not exceed the cap, category B if the employee's salary is comprised between the cap and twice the cap amount). |
Description (field TIT) |
No help linked to this field. |
Line no. (field IND) |

Three possible characteristics exist for a field. Entered

Filters (field FILTRE) |

Specific Buttons

Click the Copy button to copy the setup of the current screen to another folder. |

Use this button to validate the current employee screen, in other words, to generate this screen in the screen dictionary in order to use it later in the Customized entry function. |
