Screen management

This function is customized to the needs of your organization and your processes. The transaction you select determines the way in which you enter information and what information is displayed and printed.

If only one transaction has been set up you are not offered a choice, the default entry screen is displayed. The Production plan function contains a header information section into which you enter your selection (or filtering) criteria. The production tracking details will be built from the reference dates you provide.

Header information

This section makes it possible to enter the different criteria used to select a group of materials to be issued:

  • The production site: it is this site for which the tracking is carried out. This field is initialized with the production site associated with the operator.
  • End date ranges: used to select WO released products to be received in stock with an expected end date included in this date range.
  • WO number ranges: used to set a filter on the work orders to be processed in the operation workbench. This filter is only accessible if the tracking type "WO" is planned by the transaction.
  • Released product ranges: if BOMs are requested and not WOs, these fields are used to set a filter on the BOMs to be processed.

WO Tracking table

All the columns displayed in this table and their display order depend on the setup of the chosen transaction.

The products contained in the table are the released products and sub-products linked to the WOs of the selection, and/or the products manufactured on the BOMs of the selection and/or the lines entered manually in the table.

The pre-loading of the actual quantity fields with the planned quantities or the quantities remaining to be completed depends on the setup of the chosen transaction.

The available columns depend on the type of tracking to be carried out:

  • Posting date: by default the current date is suggested; it is possible to enter an earlier date than the current date but not a later date. Receipts to stock and potential joint stock issues will be posted on this date. The system validates that the entry falls in a period for which stock updates are authorized.
  • Tracking type, WO code, BOM code: in the case of a line entered in the table.
  • Actual quantity and closure flag.

If all the information required to complete the stock entry is not determined automatically, the product is colored in red and the information needs to be entered manually.

Entering these fields is not mandatory. Use them to limit the display of allocations to one document or a range of documents.

  • field WMFGNUMF

Enter the selection end entry number.

This field indicates the references of the product to process.

Enter the BOM name for the selection start.

Enter the BOM name for the selection end.

Enter the selection start BOM code.

Enter the BOM code selection end.

Block number 2

  • Warehouse (field WRHE)

Grid

  • Date (field IPTDAT)

This is the date which is used when posting the movement. It defaults to today's date but can be changed to an earlier date, if the selected date is in an open period in the accounting calendar.

SEEINFO You cannot enter a date later than today's date.

  • Tracking type (field PRODTYP)

The tracking type may concern:

  • a work order,
  • a BOM (without WO).
  • Order no. (field MFGNUM)

This field displays the work order number (unique ID).
This number is automatically or manually generated upon each creation.
Click the Selection icon to open the list of work orders (which only includes 'Firm' or 'Closed' work orders) and select a work order.

Material

  • Major version (field ECCVALMAJ)

  • Minor version (field ECCVALMIN)

Several BOMs can be defined for the same product reference.
They can be distinguished via the code, entered on two numbers.

The various BOM codes can be used to manage different product structures according to their use context such as:

  • MRP calculation,
  • Sales order entry
  • Manufacturing/production

This field can be left empty (value = 0) to enable manual entry of the components. In this case, only the component is loaded.

On analytical inquiry, this field determines the non-financial unit linked to the displayed account.
The non-financial unit is determined when setting up an account associated with a given value.
This unit is called upon entry.

  • Total completed qty. (field UOMCPLQTY)

This field indicates the actual quantity expressed in the release unit.

  • Remaining quantity (field UOMEXTQTY)

  • STK conversion (field UOMSTUCOE)

This field displays the conversion factor used for the unit of measure of a quantity and the stock unit of the corresponding product.

  • Actual quantity STK (field CPLQTY)

  • Warehouse (field WRH)

  • Status (field STA)

Status of the stock to be received.

The location types are used to codify the warehouse locations according to their storage characteristics: size, authorized statuses, technical constraints etc.
They are associated with the products by site, and are used in this way to geographically group the products with similar characteristics.
According to the stock transaction parameterization, the location type for the product is proposed by default and can be modified in the transaction entries.

  • Location (field LOC)

The storage location is automatically loaded depending on the location type if it is specified, otherwise the default location defined in the product-site record is selected.
This value can be modified later.

  • Lot (field LOT)

This field indicates the lot linked to the stock movement.

  • Sublot (field SLO)

Sub-lot concerned by the stock transaction.

  • No. of sublots (field NBSLO)

This field contains the number of sub-lots concerned by the stock transaction.

  • Ending sublot (field SLOF)

  • Starting serial number (field SERNUM)

Enter the initial serial number, selection start range.

  • Ending serial number (field SERNUMF)

  • Identifier 1 (field PALNUM)

  • Identifier 2 (field CTRNUM)

  • Movement description (field MVTDES)

A free description is entered in this field that will be registered in all the stock transactions associated with the shipment line.
This description is also accessible from the stock issue detail window. If it has been modified by this function, it will be automatically recovered and registered on the shipment line in this field.

  • Closed (field CLEFLG)

Use this field to specify whether the line must be closed or not ('Yes'/'No').

  • End date (field ENDDAT)

  • Revenue type (field ITMTYP)

The setup determines whether the analytical dimensions can be modified. These are initialized in compliance with the default dimension setup.

In creation mode, if no order line has been entered and the project code is modified, analytical dimensions are reset based on the setup of the default dimensions.

In creation mode, as in modification mode, if an order line has been entered and the project code is modified, analytical dimensions are not reset.

Specific actions

This button is used to load the table with the materials from the selection carried out.

It is possible to delete the selected lines (right click on Line deletion) and add other lines by direct entry at the bottom of the table. The addition of lines is possible up to the number of lines that the table can contain: this number is determined by the transaction setup.

This button is used to refine the selection by filtering the operations to be processed by the Order and/or by Project and to modify the default sort criteria and to save the set of selection criteria by saving one or more Memo codes.

Click the Validation action to validate or confirm the details of each line in the grid. Each line for which validation is successful will create the corresponding work order tracking record. One Work order tracking record will be created per posting date.

If material consumption or production reporting occurs at the same time, the tracking date of the operation is applied to the corresponding stock movement transaction. The system will check that the stock movement date falls in a period in which stock updates are authorized.

The results of the tracking are written to the System log. The log file displays the number for each work order tracking record created.

If clicking the Validation action returns data to the grid this indicates that there might be an issue with the data or the System log is locked. You should first try to revalidate the data by clicking the Validation action again.

  • If an empty grid is returned after you click the Validation action this confirms that the data has been correctly executed.
  • If data is returned to the grid after clicking the Validation action a second time this indicates that there is an issue with the data on those lines. You must correct the data before you can continue or retry the Validation action in case some records were locked by other transactions. Any lines that have been removed have been saved because the data has been correctly executed.
