Account groups
This function is used to build the pyramid that has been created in the Accounts pyramid function, for any type of plan, be it general or analytical.
It is possible to entirely define the pyramid structure from this function (including the link with the basic posting accounts In the Accounts management function, it is also possible to set up the link between the pyramid and the basic allocation accounts.
The pyramid can be built from the graphical representation function.
Prerequisite
Refer to documentation Implementation

The most comprehensive level concerns the global margin (level 10).
The "Margin" group is comprised of the "Raw margin", "Sales price", "Discount" and "Other costs" groups (level 20).
The "Raw margin" group is itself composed of the "Labor", "Machine", "Material" etc. production costs (level 30).
The 99 "virtual" level is comprised of the elementary accounts.
Each group is defined by the list of the sub-groups belonging to it, and/or possibly of the elementary accounts that are directly attached to it.
If a given level of the pyramid is not comprehensive, the reports obtained for this level are only partial. The type of analysis can still have a meaning, if only some sections of the analysis need to be further specified.
Example:
Sub-level 30 only exists for the 'Raw margin' group.Reports for level 30 will not consider the contribution of the other accounts.
When an allocation is not mandatory on a dimension type, the groupings do not account for the missing account. This configuration corresponds to a voluntary choice by the user to exclude certain operations from the scope of analysis.

Block number 1
Pyramid (field VPYM) |
Pyramid which the group belongs to. The modification of the pyramid for a group is impossible if:
|
Chart (field VCOA) |
This field recalls the chart of accounts on which the account or the pyramid (general, analytical, both) will be created or to which they will be attached. |
Group (field VGRU) |
Code identifying a group of accounts A group can be comprised of sub-groups and/or accounts. |
field VDESTRA |
It is a title field. By default the short title, the long title or the column header of a data are recorded (on creation/update) in the connection language of the user.
A user who logs on with this language will view the short description, long description or column header in their connection language if a translation exists. Otherwise, these descriptions will be available in the folder language. The connection language must be defined as a default language for thefolder. |
Parent group (field VPERE) |
This field indicate the parent group code from which the account group comes from. If this field is not entered, the group is a first level group. |
field VPDES |
Identification
Short description (field VSHOTRA) |
Title used in some screens or reports when there is not enough space to view the long title.
Classification (field VCLSCOD) |
Classification of the group accounts. |
field VCLSNAM |
Description linked to the Classification field name. |
Management
Nonfinancial unit entry (field VUOMDAC) |
It is possible to keep the analytical and budget accounts in quantities. If the alytical tracking of quantities is selected, each account group can be associated with a unit as well as a default quantity. |
Nonfinancial unit (field VUOM) |
Non-financial unit in which the quantity entered for this account group will be expressed.
|
Default value (field VDEFVAL) |
The standard value indicated here makes it possible to pre-initialize the quantity according to the amount. |
field VCURUOM |
Budget tracking (field VBUDTRK) |
If this box is checked, the group of accounts can be used in the different existing budgets. |
Temporary distribution (field VTIMDSP) |
The allocation key is used to define the allocation conditions of the annual budget, by assigning a weighing coeffcient to each month (refer to the Allocation documentation). |
Position
Definition level (field VLEV) |
Definition level of a group of accounts or a group of dimensions. |
Print row (field VPRNROW) |
Printing order of the groups of a same level. |
Grid Subgroups
Subgroup (field VSBBGRU) |
Account sub-group contained in the account group. |
Description (field VSGRDES) |
Title of the sub-group. |
