Usable component control

This parameter—CMPUSBCTR—is used when creating or generating a work order.

Use this parameter to control if a component with a Not usable status is added to a new work order in the list of components for a bill of material (BOM).

The component status is defined on the product record in the Product status field (ITMSTA).


Yes: This is the default value for this parameter. If a component has a Not usable status, add the component to the work order but do not create the work order.

The work order is not created. The unusable component line is highlighted. The highlighted line serves as a reference or warning that there's an issue that needs to be resolved before the work order can be created.


No: If a component is at Not usable status, exclude it from the lists of components when a new work order is created or generated.
