Usable component control

This parameter—CMPUSBCTR—is used when creating or generating a work order.

Use this parameter to control if a component with a Not usable status is added to a new work order in the list of components for a bill of material (BOM).

Note - tipThe component status is defined on the product record in the Product status field (ITMSTA).


Yes: This is the default value for this parameter. If a component has a Not usable status, add the component to the work order but do not create the work order.

Note - warningThe work order is not created. The unusable component line is highlighted. The highlighted line serves as a reference or warning that there's an issue that needs to be resolved before the work order can be created.


No: If a component is at Not usable status, exclude it from the lists of components when a new work order is created or generated.
