Upgrade upon execution

This parameter controls changes to master bills of materials (BOMs) and routing records at the point a planned work order is converted to become a full production work order.

Routing and BOM - This is the default value for this parameter. When the status of a work order is set to Firm, reload the list of components on the work order, and the operations required to manufacture the product, for the default information in the BOM and routing records respectively that are valid on the work order launch date. That is, the date a planned work order is released to become a full production work order.

Routing - When the status of a work order is set to Firm, reload the operations required to manufacture the product for the default information in the routing record that is valid on the work order launch date. Do not reload the BOM information.

BOM - When the status of a work order is set to Firm, reload the list of components on the work order for the default information in the BOM record that is valid on the work order launch date. Do not reload the routing information.

For each of the parameter values above, the component/operation information on the work order will be reloaded from the master BOM/routing record that is valid on the launch date of the work order, as appropriate. This also results in key changes to the component/operation information such as the addition of new operations or changes to key fields being removed. You must re-enter any manual changes to the work order made prior to the change to the work order status if they still apply to the updated work order.

None - Do not reload the list of components or the component information, or the routing information defined for manufacturing the product when the work order status is changed from Planned to . Retain the BOM and routing details for the firm work order that were defined for the planned work order.
