Prerequisites

Activity codes

The following activity codes (sorted by type) may have an impact on the way the function operates :

Dependent activity codes

These codes are never entered in folder management, because their value is calculated :

Bullet point  LABD (Number of labor groups), MACD (Number of machine groups), MATD (Number of material groups), SLO (Management by sub-lots).

Sequence Numbers

The sequence numbers used to number the documents managed by this function are :

Bullet point  MLO : lot modification

Bullet point  INV : Inventory Counts

The sequence number assignment function defines the sequence number which is used

Authorizations

This function is object managed. The creation, modification, and deletion operations can be activated or deactivated for a given user. Filters by roles can also be associated with this function.

As data is linked to a site, a filter per site can be activated.

The following options can be activated or deactivated for each user :

Bullet point  Post

Entry Transactions

This function is managed with entry transactions which can be set up.

A standard transaction is suggested when installing the software. A setup function is used to modify this standard transaction or create new personalized transactions. This setup essentially exists to specify some functional characteristics of the transaction and display as well as the default loading for certain fields.

Miscellaneous prerequisites

  • At least one stock count transaction must exist in the system: see above

  • A stock count list is inevitably generated by a stock count session, this is a header that holds the selection criteria for the stock to be counted for a specific stock count session.

  • You need to define a sequence number counter (see the Sequence number assignment documentation) destined to be used to number the stock count lists for a session, assigned to the Stock module with a maximum of 15 characters.

  • The cycle counting parameters must be specified at the level of the site (see the Stock parameters documentation).

  • Finally, the counted products must make reference to a valuation method that will determine how they will be valued in a stock count line and a variance movement (see the Valuation method documentation).
