Source of posted labor account

This parameter determines which cost type code provides the accounting codes to be used for the journal generated for time entry record postings.

'Project cost type' (default) - Use the Project cost type record defined against a time entry line to determine the accounting codes to be used for a Time posting journal. The cost type code will be one of the following:

• The cost type defined on the operation resource (work center record), if a link with a work center is established.
• The cost type defined on the task category, if a link is established at the task category level.
• If a link with a work center or task category from a time entry line fails, the link is established at the user level and the cost type code will be the code defined on the user record.

'Employee cost type' - Use the Employee cost type record defined against a time entry line to determine the accounting codes to be used for a Time posting journal. The cost type code will be one of the following:

• The cost type code defined on the employee's user record.
• If the user cost type is blank, the cost type defined for the project.
• If the user cost type is blank and the project cost type is blank, the cost type code defined in the PCCCOD - Default labor cost type parameter (TC chapter, PJM group).
