Work order - Implementation

Prerequisites

Activity codes

The following activity codes (sorted by type) can have an impact on the way the function operates:

Dependent activity codes

These codes are never entered in folder management, because their value is calculated:

  • MWC (Container management), SI1 (Product statistical group 1), SI2 (Product statistical group 2), SI3 (Product statistical group 3), SI4 (Product statistical group 4), SI5 (Product statistical group 5).

Functional

  • CAP: Finite capacity
  • CCM: Change control management
  • CFG: Configurator
  • ECC: Product version management
  • GFS: Finite scheduler
  • MTO: Management on order
  • MWM: Weighing stations
  • NPI: Product design
  • PJM: Project management
  • POPS: Production Scheduler
  • RVM: Routing version management
  • SMI: Integrale migration
  • TIT: Potency management
  • UML: Link qty. in unit of measure
  • WRH: Warehouse management

Sizing

  • ANA: No. of analytical dimensions
  • MFI: Number of released products
  • MFM: Number of materials
  • MFO: Number of operations
  • NUC: Number of packing units
  • STI: Product statistical groups

General parameters

The following general parameters might change the way the function is working:

Sequence numbers

The sequence numbers used to number the documents managed by this function are:

  • MFG: Work orders

The sequence number assignment function defines the sequence number which is used.

Authorizations

This function is object managed. The creation, modification, and deletion operations can be activated or deactivated for a given user. Filters by roles can also be associated with this function.

As data is linked to a site, a filter per site can be activated.

The following options can be activated or deactivated for each user:

  • Manual allocations
  • Scheduling

Entry transactions

This function is managed with entry transactions that you can set up.

A standard transaction is suggested when installing the software. You use a setup function to modify this standard transaction or to create new personalized transactions. The transaction you select determines the way in which you enter information, and how information is displayed, and printed.

Note - settings To track Project management in finance, the project analytical dimension type needs to be included in the Released product, Operations, and Material entry tables in the Analytical section.

Tables used

The following tables are implemented by the function:
